What is a hydroplanter?
A Hydroplanter is a planter with a self-watering system that provides a necessary amount of water for plants and produces their natural habitat, helping them live longer and better.
1. Each Hydroplanter comes with a drainage bag with enough quantity depending on its size. Evenly spread the drainage material over the wicks to a thickness of approximately 2 centimeters.
2. Add the appropriate substrate for the plant above the drainage, trying to leave a hole for each plant you want to plant in your Hydroplanter.
3. Before planting each plant in its corresponding hole, we recommend that the roots be left a little loose (taking care not to break them) to encourage their growth in the new substrate. If you are going to plant more than one plant, we recommend starting with the largest one.
4. The first time, after planting, you must water over the substrate, slowly or at intervals in order to soak the soil and drainage until the water tank is filled. The dipstick will rise until its red color begins to appear. Important! A level that exceeds the red rod would be detrimental to both your plants and the proper functioning of your Hydroplanter.
The water reserve tank should be refilled ONLY 4 TIMES PER YEAR. You can take the opportunity to add liquid fertilizer directly to the tank, before refilling it. If after a few days the level has dropped or the dipstick is at its minimum level, this does NOT mean that you have to refill the tank again, neither in part nor in its entirety.
The water has been absorbed by the system and the substrate. The tank needs to be refilled ONLY 4 TIMES A YEAR. Lightly water the surface of the soil once more, preferably with a watering can. As a reminder, we recommend refilling the tank at the beginning of each season of the year.
